OVEREND METHODIST MISSION Banner Street, Cradley, Halesowen, B63 2SL

CHURCH POLICIES

Inter–Faith Work (October 2006)

Overend Methodist Mission will affiliate to Dudley Inter – Faith group and will support in every way possible the Dudley Council of Faiths and try to get closer to local faith communities

Use of multi-media equipment (January 2007)

Overend Methodist Mission is committed to worship that is relevant to people of all ages and to make use of the best technology available.  To that end a small committee was set up to advise on the purchase of multi-media equipment.  An extensive list of equipment, including projector, screens, laptop, DVD player, software, TV, printer, CD player, camera and camcorder, was presented.  The church council agreed to purchase the equipment as soon as we can be sure that it can be stored safely and securely.

Youth Work (April 2007)

Overend Methodist Mission will give its full support to those members that intend to set up a new venture in working with 11 – 16 year old young people.  To that end it will make its premises available on Friday evenings free of charge, it will release to the leaders money that has been ring-fenced for youth work and will encourage its members to involve themselves.

Facilities

Overend Methodist Mission will do all in its power to ensure that all people are made welcome.  Our premises, including toilet areas, are fully accessible throughout to wheelchair users.  We have a loop system for hearing-aid users, large-print versions of books for the visually impaired, baby-changing facilities and a crèche for those attending morning worship.
