Rev Helen Croft

Dear Beloved

It is both a joy and privilege to come and serve you in the Vale of Stour Circuit.  I moved here from the Epworth and Scunthorpe Circuit – the home of John Wesley and also a rural area.  Unfortunately, due to us being in the middle of a pandemic, life is very different for us all and it’ll take some time for me to get to know you, and you me, but here’s a little as an introduction:

I am a daughter of the living God, who knows I am loved and precious and he has an amazing plan for my life.  The realisation of this has come about from my life’s journey and travels.  I was brought up in the Welsh Valleys of South Wales in a household comprising of father, Bill; mother, Linda (who passed away in 1996) and younger twin sisters Lynne and June (passed away 3 years ago).  My extended family consists of two brother-in-laws, two nephews and two nieces.

I like traveling, especially to USA and you will find me taking many holidays there, which has often included attendance at a conference to deepen my relationship with God.  I also enjoy city breaks and frequently ‘pop’ to London.  My travels have resulted in a love for photography.  During lockdown, I rediscovered another hobby that I used to enjoy, sewing, and am hoping this will continue in my time here.

One of my deepest desires for the people of God is to see them entering into their full identity of who they are in Christ and operating in the gifts that He gives them.  So, I look forward to seeking the Spirit in the days, weeks and months that I am with you, so that all we do and say will be for his glory and to build his Kingdom.  Let us not look back and dwell in the past with rose-tinted glasses, but let us push forward into the new things that God has for us.

The Lord is my revelation-light to guide me along the way, he’s the source of my salvation…..don’t give up, don’t be impatient be entwined as one with the Lord.  Be brave and courageous and never lose hope.

Psalm 27:1, 14
(The Passion Translation)

Many blessings
